They are saying marz stole from Karma's custom doll they commissioned of their character. Marz openly shows that she visually referenced it but that is all. that is not art theft, the result is not even remotely 1:1 pls im begging you to use your brain 😭 YOU CAN LEGALLY VISUAL REFERENCE ANYTHING YOU CAN SEE. oh my goddd.

I'm happy to show this because marz's sculpting process on this avatar was something I not only WATCHED HER DO, starting with her snake tail, and then it becoming a full av head, but she is open about referring to these images - she made a sketch loosely referencing this sculpted art doll and there IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Art is referential and that is okay! No one "stole" anything.

I do really understand feeling like someone has referenced your art too closely, I have had moments like that myself!! but the original artists synthodox is referencing literally DID NOT ASK for them to go around and ask people not to support marz financially. ESPECIALLY WITH ZERO PROOF. If you wanna alert a fellow artist because you wanna make sure everything is on the up and up, let THEM decide if they have been ripped off. This is literally not your fucking job, you're not the goddamn ART POLICE.
