@ggreenwald Julian Assange is a hero who exposed regime lies and war crimes. His freedom should be celebrated, but we shouldn't rest until he receives a full pardon and medals.
My latest: Sweden did not intend to prosecute Assange because it never had a case, writes UN expert. The aim was to trap him in an interminable process of non-prosecution while confining him in ever-worse conditions while the public was turned against him https://t.co/qGOLynClIO
There's so much to say about the Assange case, the outrage of his being detained for almost 15 years, being forced to plead guilty despite committing no crime.
But on a human and personal level, it's beautiful to watch him leave prison a free man, and finally leave the UK.
For the people who care so deeply about ciivil liberties abuses by regimes on the other side of the world: every press freedom and civil liberties groups say that Assange's prosecution by the Biden DOJ is the gravest threat to press freedoms in years:

Drone footage of hunting whales shows an example of the Fibonacci spiral occurring in nature, where the two whales can be seen working together to create a bubble net surrounding fish. 🐋💦
Human rights belong to everyone.
They are universal, indivisible, and interrelated. Today, as we recognize 75 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the U.S. reaffirms our deep commitment to protect human rights and hold human rights abusers accountable.
@sander_weis@Partisangirl I believe she’s quoting a Chechen leader, this the quote marks. NATO is a military alliance, and thus the enemies of Russians I don’t see any journalist inconsistency in this.
