@birda_org Took a walk down by the Shenandoah River and caught the last light (4:30) while walking dogs. There were a lot of Canadian Geese. I watched a very angry Belted Kingfisher cussing them out, twittering all above them. Must have blocked his view.

@LottieNewings Well, the same field had thistle too, and my friend said horses eat thistle after it wilts. Kept thinking about how a horse or cow deals with splinters on their tongue.

Anyone know what this plant is? I've only ever seen it in one field in Virginia. Horses won't touch it.
