RESUMPTION OF STALLED SUAME INTERCHANGE PROJECT

I have become aware of the concerns raised by some residents in Kumasi regarding the stalled Suame Interchange Project.

Government cleared the outstanding debt owed the contractors based on certificates raised and not paid for since 2024.

Contractors to FULLY mobilise back to site next week to complete the project.

Thank you for your patience.

Together, we shall build better infrastructure for Kumasi.

✅The Somanya-Kpong road is set to be fixed under the "Big Push" agenda.

The entire project has been structured as follows:

📍The road from Dodowa to Somanya and its connecting town roads have been awarded to one contractor.

📍Meanwhile, the road continuing from Somanya to Kpong will be handled by a different contractor.

📍Finishing touches are currently being put in place, and work should resume soon.

🏗️ Other Town Road Initiatives
Beyond these specific projects, local road development will continue through several channels:

✅Most town roads will also be fixed under the 'Big Push' initiative.

✅Other town roads are going to be catered for with the various District Common Funds.

✅Most Members of Parliament (MPs) are also taking up some roads with their Common Fund.

📍While waiting for the commencement of these major road projects, our able MMDCEs are going to be utilizing the drip machines to level our roads.
