When you hit the power levels where 3p is relevant, you should be DC charging anyways.
It not that NACS is inferior because it lacks this support, its that NACS is going the optimal route at those power levels, which is HVDC.
Level 2 AC charging is a critical piece as it allows for decent charge speeds at home. 3P is a fools errand, should just go DC at that point
@farzyness Ferrari is always sold out, months and even years in advance on certain models.
Increasing sales is not likely a discussion in that boardroom.
But I do agree with your premise
@AutoTrendzUg Damn right.
My cars also a Tesla, so the AC compressor/heat pump is doing all kinds of battery related things all the time anyway.
I'm guessing the cabin settings are the lowest priority on the heatpump's stack
Love the Audi, actually.
Didn't like the Benz at first, but it's growing on me. Cars with large detail features like that usually look better in person, so that one is a maybe.
Don't love the rest.
Unfortunately with the cancellation of the S and the X, the design field for EVs has lost a lot of class in the last year.
I get it, but still a rare mis-step by Tesla IMO
Looks awesome, actually.
Worthy successor to the R8.
Would prefer an all electric option. Also, the price went full retard just like Luce. I get the hypercar drift, but ridiculous to ask that kind of money when a used Model S Plaid will spank it in a lot of respects. And do it with 4 people in the car.
Also, Audi needs to stick to letter/number monikers. A name doesn't belong on an Audi.
Um... comparatively, lithium is slower in the uptake to flame than a tank of gasoline. Gas is straight up explosive, lithium might rage burn, but it will only burn. There is a enough gasoline in the fuel tank if a Jetta to literally put it in orbit.
The real threat from lithium is when it gets going, it will burn real hot, and for a long time.
@niccruzpatane That looks really cool.
Personally, would prefer an all EV version, or gas version. Not really a fan of hybrid setups for the most part.
But that looks really cool. Price is bonkers but if you got $650k to spend and it's this or a Luce, choose wisely
@MattClarkReport@EricLDaugh Doesn't look that way.
This is a fucking circus, and Rubio is treating it like a fucking circus, and the clowns are offended.
Yep. Been saying this since day 1.
Something like 2 million reservations were made and people already knew damn well what it looked like.
I'm guessing some specs not flushing out (500 mile range) is another. 500 miles of empty range is a huge deal when towing.
Killing the range extender was a shitty outcome as well.
No I get it, perhaps better phrased "I don't know what mechanism or stimulus would have resulted in that outcome"
Some things have quite obviously evolved, that is a simple fact. Others appear more purpose built where evolution fails to follow logical paths. This appears (to me) to be one of those cases.
@3lectricBrawl The updated M3P is fantastic.
The previous gen was super quick, like video game fast, but not as good with the suspension/feel.
I'm still rocking my '22, but updating is always a temptation
