The Unforgiving Teacher
Life has a way of making sure you learn what you need to. Not with kindness, not with a gentle nudge, but with relentless, unyielding force. It does not wait for you to be ready. It throws you into the fire, over and over, until you understand what you were meant to take from it.
Because life does not ask politely. It does not raise its hand before speaking, nor does it wait for you to be ready. It shoves, it strikes, it repeats. Again and again, until you learn.
There is no skipping the lesson. No shortcuts. No way to bribe your way out of the curriculum. Because life is not some indifferent force, it is deliberate. It has a method, a structure, a way of molding you into something more. And until you grasp what it is trying to teach, you will remain stuck in the same patterns, facing the same trials, as if caught in an endless loop.
People mistake these repetitions for bad luck, for misfortune, for some cosmic unfairness. They fail to see the pattern, the cause-and-effect at play. They assume that the hardship they endured last year, last month, yesterday, has nothing to do with the one they face today. But it does. It always does. Life is patient in its severity. It will test you, retreat, and wait. And if you fail to adapt, if you fail to reflect, it will return, sharper, harsher, more unrelenting than before.
But those who pay attention, those who pause in the storm and ask why, those are the ones who break free. They are the ones who understand that these trials are not punishments but lessons.
That the pain is not cruelty but refinement. And when they finally learn, something shifts. Life itself seems to change. The same obstacles no longer shake them. Their reactions evolve. Their mind settles. They walk forward with a new skill (patience, resilience, wisdom) and life, recognizing the lesson absorbed, grants them reprieve. A few victories. A breath of ease. A moment of clarity.
But only for a while.
Because the curriculum is endless. The moment life believes you have settled too deeply into comfort, it will return. Not to break you, but to sharpen you further. To push you into your next evolution. This is the rhythm of existence: hardship, reflection, growth, reward, and then, again, the next trial.
Some resist this truth, clinging to victimhood, blaming the world, wishing for mercy that will never come. And so, they stay trapped in the same suffering, repeating their lessons like a failing student unwilling to study. But those who recognize the pattern, those who embrace the process, those who choose to learn, they are the ones who level up.
Because in the end, life is not trying to defeat you. It is trying to make you.
And it will not stop until you become who you were meant to be.
It's a complicated history that can't be fully explained in one post. They went through a divorce in 91' and their relations were never-ending conflicts of interests. 20 years of cooperation attempts and limited confrontations due to different political visions. However, the outbreak of second revolution in Kiev in late 2013 set off a chain of events that changed the power structure, flipped Ukraine's foreign policies to a pro-Western stance, and led to an open conflict with Russia. You should know that at this point there were still millions of ethnic Russians living in Ukraine that wanted to remain on good terms with Russian Federation. Annexation of Crimea was the final nail in the coffin and after that it's just escalation after escalation.
@Volcomania17@elonmusk Believe it or not but this war started because both sides hate each other to the bone and won't yield in the slightest.
Read a bit about the Ukraine-Russia tensions since fall of Soviet Union in 1991.
It became a military conflict in 2014 and a full blown war in 2022.
