Tbh, the shit going on across the TL right now is honestly exhausting. The selective support, the “this member cares about BLINKs but that member doesn’t” narratives, and people constantly choosing sides between the girls especially during their anniversary are completely missing the point.
For me, this entire situation is 80% YG’s fault and 20% the PINKs’ fault.
And before anyone misunderstands me, that 20% does not mean I think the girls deserve hate, harassment, or guilt-tripping. Absolutely not. I’m talking about the reality that they are still tied to a company that has historically controlled BLACKPINK’s group activities, schedules, promotions, releases, and much of what they can publicly do as a group.
Being adults does NOT automatically mean they have complete freedom over everything BLACKPINK-related. There is a difference between being responsible for your own choices and having full control over an entire group operation. When the group is still working under a company structure, there are contracts, management decisions, schedules, approvals, and other business factors involved. You cannot simply look at four women and assume they can individually decide everything that happens with BLACKPINK.
And honestly? Some of you need to pick a side in your own logic.
When two members apologized, you said they shouldn’t have apologized. But when they don’t say anything, you accuse them of not caring about BLINKs. So what exactly do you want from them? If an apology is wrong, silence is wrong, and an explanation is also wrong, then this was never really about accountability you simply wanted someone to blame.
And Jennie? You absolutely do not deserve an apology from her after the way some of you treated her.
This is the same Jennie who wrote such a heartfelt letter to BLINKs at midnight, expressing her gratitude and love after ten years, and somehow people twisted that into her being “selfish.” You read the same words through a mindset of looking for something to criticize, and then blamed her for the interpretation you created.
Jennie has repeatedly shown love toward BLINKs, and she is also one of the members who has never gone out of her way to create a separate name or identity that divides her solo fans from the rest of the fandom. Yet somehow she is still the easiest member for some people to throw under the bus.
And please, throw the whole “selective members” theory in the bin.
The girls have shown love to BLINKs in their own ways. You do not get to turn their different personalities, communication styles, or individual circumstances into evidence that one member “cares more” than another.
If you genuinely love BLACKPINK, stop treating the members like opposing teams.
And if your argument is, “They’re 30-year-old women, they should know better,” then please understand what being under a company actually means. Being an adult gives you personal responsibility, but it does not magically give you complete control over a multinational entertainment business and everything surrounding a group activity.
You can hold people accountable without pretending you know everything happening behind closed doors.
At this point, I genuinely think some of you deserve nothing from the members not because the girls owe you nothing as fans, but because some of you have turned supporting BLACKPINK into constantly comparing, attacking, guilt-tripping, and demanding apologies from the very people you claim to love.
You cannot demand that the girls stand together while you spend every opportunity trying to tear them apart.
BLACKPINK is four members.
Not four teams.
Not four fandoms.
Not a competition.
And if you have to hate one member to prove that you love another, maybe you never understood BLACKPINK in the first place.

For those who have decided to stop supporting, I respect your decision and understand that everyone has their own reasons. Jisoo asked if there could still be a little room left in our hearts for her sincerity. But if that door is truly closed and there’s no room left, then maybe the kindest thing to do is simply walk away and not make her feel guilty for something that was never hers to carry.
As for me, I don’t need to be seen, acknowledged, or rewarded for being a fan. I’m perfectly happy supporting them from far away wherever I am, even if they never know I exist. I’ve never kept track of how much money I’ve spent, nor have I ever counted the time, effort, and energy I’ve poured into supporting them. I’ve never treated those as something they owe me back. I chose to give them freely because supporting them made me happy.
For me, the joy has always been this simple: watching someone I care about grow, create, and become an even better version of herself. That alone is more than enough.
So if you still have even a little room left in your heart, I hope you’ll stay because I believe there are still so many beautiful things ahead of us.
BLACKPINK exists because there are four of them, not one or two.
You can have a bias. You can love one member a little more. But please don't forget that BLACKPINK was built by four different girls who brought four different colors together.
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are not meant to compete against each other. They're BLACKPINK because they're four!
