The scale of landmine problem in Azerbaijan: multiple layers of anti-tank mines stacked atop one another in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district, laid by Armenian forces.

Today, an ANAMA employee and a civilian were injured in explosions caused by anti-personnel mines in Agdam and Jabrayil. Both victims suffered amputations of their feet.
Azerbaijan has the highest number of mine-related casualties in the South Caucasus.
On the anniversary of the attempted genocide of the Azerbaijani people, I paid tribute to those who tragically lost their lives.
I also asked the Government to support Azerbaijan in removing the mines in Nagorno-Karabakh, where hundreds of mines are still being cleared by hand.
Sometimes, our neighbors make such comments that I can't help but ask: was it Armenia or Azerbaijan that was occupied for 30 years?
Why do you immediately go on the offensive when facts doesn't suit you? 1/
Novruz is celebrated by over 300 million people from China and India to Azerbaijan and Albania. Not just by Persians. Wouldn’t it be nice if the White House recognized and congratulated all these 300 million people on this special occasion?
Official Baku demands an investigation of the incident by an international group of experts and Embraer specialists.
️Azerbaijan also has brought in Turkish experts to investigate the plane crash. 2/2

"In the 1980s, Armenia had a sizable population of over 250,000 ethnic Azerbaijanis, who were forcefully expelled from the region between 1987 & 1988. Following their deportation, Armenians did everything to erase all traces of Azerbaijani heritage"
Mr. Ambassador, what motivates you to spread these narratives that we observe from nationalists in Armenia?
Historical records clearly indicate that the majority of Yerevan's population during that period were Turks, not Persians. 1/
Former Ecology Minister & the leader of the Green Party in France, Brice Lalonde, in his COP-29 related interview to France24: "In 1990s, Armenia occupied Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan just liberated its own territories. Our gov't suddenly forgot about that."

🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ so stupid. She has “PhD” 😂😂😂and thinks that whales live in the Caspian Sea.
When armos try to spread lies , they don’t care how stupid the lie seems.
First, after, reading the article in @guardian it is clear that @GretaThunberg did not write it. She never talked or studied the situation in Azerbaijan, and the use of word 'Artsakh' clearly indicates who might be behind this article.
Second, let's assume, she wrote it. Then, the question is about the relevance of the content to #cop29. In two months from now, the most powerful democracy in the world, the US, is going to withdraw from the Paris agreement. That should be her and like-minded people's concern.
Third, what prevented the most advanced democracies to move with actions, especially, financing, from cop1 to cop 26 - before it went to Egypt, UAE & Azerbaijan, as she argues, the problem with the hosts.
Fourth, what prevented biggest carbon producers like the US, Canada, Norway & other democracies radically reduce it (and Greta's neighbor Norway actually increases production).
Fifth, Greta's own homeland, Sweden consume energy around 70% above the EU average. At around 12 000 kWh, the country's electricity consumption per capita is the second highest in the EU (2.2 times higher than the EU average).
Sixth, she should inquiry how much damage to environment, biodiversity (deforestation) Armenia caused during the occupation of internationally recognized territories of Azerbaijan, not to say about war crimes, ethnic cleansing and massacres (and Armenia will be hosting #COP17 on biodiversity).
Seventh, Greta in this article demanded the release of war criminals and one oligarch - does even she knows what she advocates for?
Ok, human rights concern should be remain the acute question throughout the world, but cop29 is not about it or, at least, is not about it only.
Thus, Greta's intention is amateurish, at best, and is managed by people with ill-intentions. Worst - just superfucial, not to say stupid.
Former Ecology Minister & leader of Green Party of France, Brice Lalonde, in his COP-29 interview to France24: "As french, we have a long friendship with Armenia but it doesnt mean Armenia was right. In 1990s, Armenia invaded Karabakh & of course everybody now forgot that" ⬇️
