Of course I was chomping on the bit all day so I could get home and update. Immediately out for testing when the update finished. I chose 2 different empty lots. Definitely had some concerns prior to using it, not being physically able to personally intervene. I tried dumb summon first and rocked the truck back and forth. In the first come to me instance it missed an unmapped road to me. I feel that was my error for choosing a difficult spot. 2nd attempt I went to a mostly empty parking lot and tried again. The few spectators were as amazed as I was when it backed out of the parking spot and came flawlessly to me. Working as designed! Sorta bummed it wasn’t farting along the way and did not tada when it arrived. Perhaps I had a setting off?
I have found that with so few people in the world that have truly experienced fsd, the general population has no idea what it can do. When I give people test rides, hit start and turn around and start talking to them in the back seat, the fear in their eyes is truly entertaining. When we finish their test ride, the questions about fsd being capable disappear and the conversation moves to whether an ev could fit their driving lifestyle. You simply must try it out for a month, then drive without it for a day. The answer will become clear. Plus, when you can wave with both hands, you will get a little ego boost. My meager opinion on fsd 14.3.3.
@thecyberfam I have seen parking improvements coupled with increased roadway avoidance. Slight phantom breaking, but bird and squirrels increased life expectancy. I love the two handed wave. Closer all the time.
@WallStreetApes I call bs. If their scales were off by more than .01 they would be shut down. Show me the calibration data. Please do not question our country’s weights and measures data. I concur that errors exist, but I highly doubt that a company as large as Walmart would engage in this.
Has anyone noticed how much these public/private investments make sense up until the public free money goes away? Solar is not the only industry in this painful loop of tax dollar grifting. I understand broad investment can be used to move public good investments forward, but, was there a company doing this without “free” money? Did it hurt their investment? Did a real entrepreneur get punished in this scenario? If you have to pay for innovation, perhaps it is not real innovation…..
Marketing? That is us. Paid with a 500 dollar credit every time we make a convert. Fsd, always improving isn’t good enough for many/most. My current pet peeve is inconsistent end of drive parking spot and no choice for direction. I need to back into my drive to charge. I use fsd for everything I can. I engage anyone that seems interested.
Ok, so my wife declared a household emergency. Our Xfinity WiFi has an issue. I said, I can fix that with the click of a button. I got the go ahead and we are now happily downloading at 266 mbps and uploading at 50 mbps in less than the stated 5 minutes(I think it took 2 minutes). Now I have a real issue. I got the starlink terminal for ham radio, not for our house. It filled in the emergency need, but now I need 2!
Which is worse? Waiting impatiently for the update, or not having enough time before you drive to work to install the update? Now I’ll be like a small child all day waiting to open my new toy. Thrilling!
