- Woke up early this morning. To make homemade chicken soup. For the weekend. You’ve heard that chicken soup can cure the common cold. Obviously it can’t. But it does have Anti-Inflammatory Properties. Which helps reduce swelling and soreness in your throat and nose. When you’re experiencing the Common Cold. Also, chicken contains the amino acid cysteine. Which helps loosen mucus secretions in the respiratory tract.

- I cooked it totally in Chicken Stock. No water added. I added some Idaho Potatoes. That thickens the broth. If you’re not a big fan. Of a real watery broth.

- Don’t store Chicken Soup. In the freezer. What happens when you do that. Water comes out of the vegetables. And freezes. When you heat the soup up. That water melts into the broth. Diluting the soup. You can add more Chicken Stock. Before heating. To enhance your broth. You can safely store Chicken Soup. In your refrigerator. Up to 3 to 5 days.
