On 28 April 2026, Rights Advice Centres (RAC) participated in the Labour Trafficking Awareness meeting held in Blantyre, Malawi, an initiative organized by the University of Georgia's Centre on Human Trafficking Research & Outreach (CenHTRO).

This intervention is being implemented by the Center on Human Trafficking Research & Outreach (CenHTRO), University of Georgia School of Social Work in Mangochi and Blantyre, Malawi, in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

Today, Rights Advice Centres (RAC) took part in the Launch on the Labor Trafficking Financial Capability Intervention, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at reducing labor trafficking risk among youths and young adults in Lilongwe, Malawi.

This week Rights Advice Centres (RAC) took part in the convening of stakeholders in Trafficking in Person in Malawi at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe. The convening presented an opportunity for CSOs to share experiences & plan better.

We shared successes, best practices, common challenges & developed strategies to engage government to effectively protect women & children from sex trafficking in line with the National Plan of Action on Ending Trafficking in Persons & other regional and international obligations

The solar-powered radios can reach remote areas, promoting inclusivity and social connection. This will foster community engagement and social cohesion.

FAO Malawi through the JP GTA Programme has handed over solar-powered radios to 10 Dimitra Clubs in Mangochi.This will help clubs to facilitate learning and skill development,provide critical information during emergencies & support local businesses & economic development.
