It was great to see so much interest in Rugeley Community First Responders yesterday at Rugeley Fire Station's Open Day, alongside 🚓 & 🚒 colleagues.

Lots of lessons in CPR and defibs were given, as well as taking part in demonstrations which were enjoyed by all! ❤️

A defibrillator plays a huge part in saving the life of someone in cardiac arrest, but we’ve never seen a defib as big as this before! 😳

Yesterday, Rugeley and District CFRs were at Brereton Carnival helping raise awareness of the importance of Public Access Defibrillators 🚑

As well as being a fabulous way of helping your community, it also turned out to be a way of finding the love of your life for Sean and Fay Cooper who met while undertaking their training!

We are extremely proud that 8️⃣ of our volunteer responders have received the Queens Platinum Jubilee Medal🏅for > 5 years service responding to our local community on behalf of @Officialwmas We are, however, most proud of Queen Elizabeth II on 7️⃣0️⃣ years of dedicated service 👏

Combining all 8️⃣ of the above responders years of voluntary service it comes to a grand total of just over 70 years (72) which is absolutely amazing commitment by our volunteers but also highlights the shear length in service of our Queen 👑 Congratulations HRH 👏 #QueensJubilee

Cat in tree for 3 days. Unable to pitch ladder to climb due to spindley tree. Improvised with our 13.5m ladder and built him a bridge to safety! Safe and sound at home 😻

2017 - present day - BMW X3

We were extremely proud in 2017 that we were able to purchase our most recent vehicle. This was hugely down to two successful funding applications. This money along with money already raised allowed us to purchase this AWD purpose built BMW.
