Sometimes I want to answer the phone at my job and ask the person on the other end if it is too early to go to sleep. No context. Just panicked words, โIS IT TOO EARLY TO SLEEP?!โ

@itsbixbyjones Only when two of those people actually retweeted me (as they had more followers than I did). And I was doing a free book promo, and "sold" 1.4k copies making it to the #1 spot on numerous free lists. But uh, it's disappeared since then, so ... not really steady.
Being a writer means feeling overly confident that your story deserves to be published, while also feeling like your story is a trash fire and you have no idea what you're doing.
@Noir_Kincade I have done this too while querying -- it happens from time to time. You're human. If your story is solid, it shouldn't matter. Good luck! (And there's plenty of other agents out there)
