Sadness at the end of an area but enormous pride at the lives that 5131(BD)Sqn has saved and its support to air ops over many decades. The bravery and skills of these men and women represent the very best of @RoyalAirForce. The baton now passes to our @BritishArmy colleagues.
No 5131 Bomb Disposal Squadron stands down. Their history includes almost every conflict since WWII, the fallen of 5131 (BD) Sqn are foremost in our minds. Our heartfelt thanks go to these remarkable men and women, past & present, for their service and sacrifice.

@RoyalAirForce engineering comes in many shapes and sizes. Technology underpins what we do, but it requires skilled people to deliver air power. Aircrew, battlespace management, engineers and many more.
