Residents Action on Fylde Fracking: Local residents calling for an immediate halt to shale gas extraction in Fylde pending a proper evaluation of the risks
Water bosses are taking home obscene pay packets & bonuses, yet have utterly failed us all. We must bring water back into public hands - and while we're at it, adopt widespread pay ratios so bosses earn no more than 10x the salary of the lowest paid in their companies
Fracking never had, and still doesn’t have, a social licence - fiercely resisted by local communities and only 5 out of 138 MPs in affected areas support it, with many Tory MPs (including the Fylde’s Mark Menzies) opposed #BanFracking#PrestonNewRoad https://t.co/L7HSf7gJvc
Great story by @horton_official@dpcarrington finds only five of 138 MPs in affected parts of the UK actually want fracking
Notably Mark Menzies, Tory MP for Fylde, opposes fracking in his constituency – which was a key focus for developers

Today they invited Cuadrilla to apply for an extension to keep the Lancashire wells open, not cap them as planned, and have asked the regulator to look favourably at it. The government is in disarray and it’s undermining our energy security.
Pro-fracking groups AGAIN claiming that people who oppose it, are backed by Russia! They used this baseless lie before.. now they're seizing the tragic #UkraineRussia situation as 'opportunity' to go for shale; @GOVUK awash with Russian funding - NOT anti-fracking movement:

Everyone who went to an anti-#fracking protest, baked a cake to feed the protesters, or shared on social media can celebrate this morning

📣My 2nd report on the impacts of #fracking and other #gas devs in 🇬🇧 is finally out! 📣 It examines the state of local communities pre-, during and post-dev or the prospect of it. Access here: https://t.co/wFg6irX5d2
C'mon Facebook , live up to the sustainability pledges on your website and actually do something about this . . . where is the accountability ? This is atrocious . @andymstone@slpng_giants

Were you aware that Johnson had his school fees paid by the EU - including Eton?
Dad was a European Commission official and because he was working ‘abroad’ the school fees were paid.
‘Pervasive’ #plastic pollution in the Arctic linked to clothes washing in Europe and US
- Polyester fibres that endanger marine life were found in seawater across the region
