Typhoons were scrambled this morning after ATC reported hearing unusual sounds over the radio from an unidentified aircraft.

NCACITC 282 on ex Ultimate Challenge. They completed the 50 leopard crawls, 50 Jerry can walks, 50 tyre flips, 50 dummy drags followed by a 10km stretcher run in a time of 2 hours 2 minutes, making it the fastest time the course has ever been completed in its 20 year history

NCACITC 282 helping out in the local community on their second weekend . The course helped @LincsWildlife preserve and replenish habitats in order to increase the population of glow worms.

NCACITC 282 on their first working weekend helping out at RAFC Cranwell Saddle Club. The cadets were involved with resurfacing roads, clearing stables and general cleaning. Well done to everyone involved!

Yesterday, NCACITC 281 visited RAF Museum Cosford where we conducted various presentations about different interesting aircraft, where we learnt about the ethos and heritage of the RAF. An enjoyable day for all.

NCACITC 281 cdts have completed Ex Ultimate Challenge today. This consisted of 50 leopard crawls, 50 dummy drags, 50 Jerry can shuttles, 50 tyre flips and a 10km stretcher and Jerry can run in 2 hours and 18 minutes. A great effort by all.

NCACITC 281 cadets attended the Memorial Service at St Michaels Church at RAFC Cranwell on Sunday, to pay respects to the brave service men and women who have lost their lives during conflict. Lest we forget.

NCACITC 281 deployed to Caythorpe and Beckingham Training Area to conduct some Navigational Exercises, putting the theory into real life navigation training whilst carrying out tasks and incorporating leadership skills, in anticipation of our first exercise commencing next week.

This weekend we’ve been doing some meaningful work at Methringham Airfield Visitor Centre. We’ve revamped the centre by giving it a fresh lick of paint and a trim around the edges, whilst team bonding and learning about the history of the airfield and the role it played in WW2.

This week we have learnt about the importance of verbal communication as we tried to get ourselves in age and alphabetical order without speaking. We put our trust in each other in low ropes and even dabbled in some blindfolded running.

NCACITC 281 cadets working together to improve the surroundings of a local primary school. This provides an opportunity to bond as a course and get to know each other better.

Welcome to NCACITC course 281. We have just completed week 1 and it’s flown by! Week 1 has consisted of drill lessons, introductions to leadership, the practice of presentation skills and learning the qualities of a RAF SNCO, followed by a community weekend.

Today, NCACITC 280 visited Newark Air Museum; the former site of RAF Winthorpe. They each took turns doing ‘stands’ where they delivered presentations on an airframe. The day was enjoyable and highlighted the fantastic efforts of RAF personnel over the years.

After a hard week on exercise at Stanford Training Area, 280 took part in Ex ULTIMATE CHALLENGE; a Battle PT session consisting of combat methods of movement & a 12km stretcher-run around RAFC Cranwell. They beat Initial Officer Training’s time of 2hrs 40, with a time of 2hrs 18.
