Today, a Service of Thanksgiving & Rededication @wabbey marked the 84th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

One of the most crucial battles of WWII, it was the first decisive battle in history fought entirely in the air, lasting over 3 months.

The annual event held at Balmoral and hosted by Their Majesties The King and Queen and the piper play round the dining table for the Royal Family and their guests, after dinner. They then pipe Their Majesties into the ballroom to start the dancing for the Ball.

Earlier this week, @RoyalAirForce Pipe Major Hughes played at the Ghillies Ball at Balmoral Castle.
The Ball, first held by Queen Victoria as a thank you to the estate workers & families is a very prestigious event held as part of the Royal Court for VVIP Guests in Scotland.
