Welcome to Reception AH @stsilasschool (@RainbowEduMAT). Tweets by our class teacher @MissHarrisREMAT and our class LSA Mrs Saleh. See what we’ve been up to!⭐️
What a wonderful year we have had! Reception, you are all stars and I know you’ll continue shining in year one! Thank you for making us laugh and smile everyday! 🩷
Our current focus story is “Supertato” by Sue Hendra. We’ve loved exploring different vegetables, we even made “ Evil Pea Soup!” We can’t wait for our superhero day on Friday! @stsilasschool@RainbowEduMAT ows
Look how much our sunflowers have grown! We’ve loved learning all about plants. We can’t wait to visit the park and spot some familiar plants and mini-beasts! @stsilasschool@RainbowEduMAT
I was so impressed with Reception’s number sentences this morning! We worked with a friend to write a number sentence to explain the number of veggies we could see! Brilliant understanding and teamwork!⭐️#silasmaths@stsilasschool@RainbowEduMAT
🌟✨ Wishing a joyous Eid Al-Fitr to all our incredible staff, families, and followers celebrating around the world! 🌙
May this special occasion be filled with love, happiness, and blessings for you and your loved ones.
🎉🕌 #EidAlFitr#EidMubarak
Eid Mubarak! We wish all our lovely families, who are celebrating, a wonderful and happy day. We can't wait to hear all about your half terms when school re-opens on Tuesday 16th April.
We loved having a Titanic dining experience today! Waiters served us milk in 1st class, we helped ourselves to fruit in 2nd class and it was water on the carpet in 3rd class! We all experienced every class but we all agreed that the expensive 1st class was our favourite!
Today we began learning all about the Titanic! We know it was a huge, luxurious ship, with 4 chimneys! We discussed what life was like on board and we even made our own version of the ship, outside! #silashistory@stsilasschool
We've spotted lots of maths superstars over the past fortnight! We have been working incredibly hard, to explore different concepts within 10! We can order numbers, find one more/one less and we can even use ordinal numbers! @stsilasschool#silasmaths
Today we found a mysterious sail and a map! We worked together to follow it and found… a treasure chest! I wonder what’s inside?
All this talk of pirates inspired us to make a huge pirate ship and even our own hats!
We have loved exploring the poem "If I Were a Hawk!" Today, we created our own version. We chose a selection of animals and made up actions to show how they move!
We have loved becoming scientists this week! Today we explored magnets. We made paperclip rockets, which could fly when we added a magnet! @stsilasschool
Last week's story followed the journey between two unlikely friends... a little boy and a penguin! We loved making our own penguin friends. We decided that we'd love to have a REAL penguin visitor...
Lambananas, Radio City Tower, Crosby beach... It must be Liverpool! We have loved exploring our local landmarks. Last week we learnt all about Liverpool and England. We'll be using our new knowledge to compare our country with snowy Alaska!
Thank you very much @RAHStSilas for having me in your classroom for Author Hour! You all listened beautifully to one of my favourite books - 'The Snail and The Whale'. It was a pleasure to come and visit you! #ReadingForPleasure 📚🐌🐋
🎵 7 Green bottles, standing on the wall... 🎵
Lots of brilliant reasoning in maths today! "I know that 6 is one more than 5, because they're next to each other on the wall!"
