Former Illinois sheriff's deputy Sean Grayson, who was sentenced to 20 years for shooting a woman, has died in prison.
Grayson, who was fighting colon cancer, was denied a medical release before he died.
Grayson was only 6 months into his 20-year sentence. He was convicted of second-degree murder of Sonya Massey.
Massey was shot by Grayson after she picked up a pot of boiling water.
No cause of death for Grayson has been given.
