This is not a free speech issue. It's about the BBC's obligation to be impartial. Gary Lineker can say what he likes if he leaves the BBC.

It's simple @GaryLineker. You have a contract with the BBC, & the BBC has a contract with licence fee payers, who fund your £1.3mill wage, which requires you to observe "due impartiality".
