Dear ICAI,
This is regarding the exam centre in Jalandhar, Police DAV School inside the PAP campus.
Students are required to walk nearly 500 meters inside the campus, which seems extremely difficult due to the severe waterlogging. A red alert has also been issued for the next 24–48 hours.
Additionally, many students travel from nearby villages and towns that are currently facing heavy floods, making it impossible for them to reach the centre.
I request you to kindly take these circumstances into consideration.
@caanupam7@kdhiraj123@theicai@CJSNanda
Dear @theicai
On behalf of CA students in Punjab, I wish to bring to your kind attention the extraordinary flood and rainfall crisis that our state is currently enduring.
Over the past weeks, Punjab has been hit by incessant heavy rains leading to flood-like conditions across multiple districts.
According to official figures:
1,300+ villages are inundated with floodwaters. Over 1.25 lakh people have been directly impacted, thousands evacuated by NDRF, BSF, Army & local administration. Transport networks remain disrupted due to roads being submerged, embankments breached, and rail/road travel is also curtailed.
It may also be noted that IMD has issued multiple Red Alerts for heavy rainfall in several districts.
Universities & colleges across Punjab have already beeen ordered shut till September 3 to safeguard students.
In such an unprecedented humanitarian situation, students are facing immense difficulties in mobility, access to exam centres, and even basic safety. The stress of preparing for ICAI exams amidst evacuations, flooded homes, and closed educational institutions is beyond measure.
On these grounds, I earnestly request ICAI Examination Department to:
➡️ Consider postponement/extension of upcoming examinations in Punjab and flood-affected zones.
➡️ Ensure that no student’s future is jeopardised due to circumstances beyond their control.
Show empathetic and timely relief as already demonstrated by state authorities in suspending university/college operations.
Such a step will reflect ICAI’s values of fairness, equity, and compassion towards its students in this hour of need. It will also provide aspirants the opportunity to appear with peace of mind and dignity, rather than distress and displacement.
I humbly urge your immediate consideration of this request for the well-being and future of thousands of CA students across Punjab.
@harjotbains Sir , ca exams starting from tomorrow and @caanupam7 sir said not a single center reported any problem , but you know what's the ground level situation in ludhiana and nearby area ,please look into this matter sir @harjotbains
@99priya1@caanupam7 Nobody will listen us ,they don't know the ground level situation (100 km away center ,4-4 feet water logged,buses not available) so if it's possible to reach centre by any mode of transport go there otherwise skip the exams that's the only solution.
@caanupam7 Sir,Worst situation in ludhiana,Punjab than this,
Pls check ground level situation and atleast postpone exam of 3rd sept as punjab govt also announced closure of colleges universities schools till 3rd sept , it's not possible to reach at centre from 100 km sir due to floods
@theicai@CJSNanda@caanupam7@kdhiraj123 sir look into this issue , its 3 to 4 feet water logged in Ludhiana and it's not possible to reach at centre form 100 km away pls postpone FR exam , punjab govt already announced closure of colleges universities schools till 3rd sept
Due to continuous heavy rainfall across Punjab since last night, all colleges, universities, and polytechnic institutes will also remain closed till 3rd September 2025 with immediate effect.
The responsibility for the well-being of students residing in hostels lies with the respective administrations.
Everyone is requested to strictly follow the guidelines issued by local authorities.

@TheOfficialSBI Allow UPI method for payments on SBI collect platform .
Students are suffering to pay fees for govt job applications without UPI method , while using card payment option it is showing payment rejected .
@TheOfficialSBI why UPI payment method is not available at sbi collect platform??
When we try to make payment using card it's showing payment rejected.
At one instance you are promoting UPI for cash withdrawals ,on the other hand you not allowing UPI method for fees payment.
