#WATCH | Following allegations of a paper leak, @NTA_Exams cancelled NEET-UG 2026 and announced a re-examination. @UnivofDelhi Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh backed the move, calling it the right decision taken at the right time to protect students’ future and maintain fairness in the examination system.
He said organised gangs involved in paper leaks and cheating cannot be tolerated and demanded strict punishment against those responsible. He also appealed to students to avoid distractions and focus on their preparation for the re-exam.
On suggestions to shift NEET to CBT or hybrid mode, he said computer-based exams also face cyber and technological challenges, adding that NEET, with nearly 23 lakh candidates, is among the world’s largest examinations and requires constant vigilance regardless of the mode of conduct.

Grateful to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji for his warm and thoughtful message on the occasion of Utkala Dibasa.

UNITED BHARAT — a national academic alliance — was officially launched on 27 March 2026 at AICTE HQ, New Delhi, in the presence of AICTE Chairman Prof. Yogesh Singh and Member Secretary Prof. @rath_shyama.
Odisha surprised us.
At 81 and 84 my husband and I travelled through Konark, Chilika, Puri and Dhauli with our son and grandson.
We found dolphins, temples that function like sundials, an unforgettable darshan at Jagannath — and beaches cleaner than many European coastlines I visited years ago.
Yet this remarkable state remains under-celebrated.
Some memories from the journey.

The University of Delhi admits students primarily based on the CUET scores, and the standard admission process does not mandate interviews for most undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. If the Leader of Opposition was referring to recruitments (such as faculty positions), the University in the recent past has recruited thousands of teachers across all categories. We strongly object to such comments, as they create a non-conducive environment in the University. The Leader of Opposition should have verified the facts before making such a statement. @EduMinOfIndia

Delighted to announce that @VFSGlobal is opening a visa application centre in Bhubaneswar from 1st April’ 26.
The centre was much-needed in Bhubaneswar for providing world-class, convenient, time-effective and efficient visa facilitation services to people of Odisha who otherwise had to travel to Kolkata to meet their visa requirements. Commencement of visa facilitation from Bhubaneswar will save time and cost, boost international mobility and connectivity and also create local employment opportunities.
More ease-of-living is the motto of PM Modi’s Govt. Grateful to EAM @DrSJaishankar and CEO, VFS Global Group, Mr. Zubin Karkaria for considering my request for operationalising a visa application centre in Bhubaneswar.
At the University of Delhi, we may come from diverse backgrounds, but we unite as one family in the spirit of Rashtra Pratham. I appeal to everyone to remain patient while the UGC Regulations 2026 are under consideration by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
