Spoke about this with @raylongomma last night how crazy it is that we are the only sport where people know the refs names.

These people should be nameless/faceless but yet we glorify them…why?

It creates subconscious inflation of self, thus leading to massive ego.

@keel_jed @raylongomma The only NBA ref I know is Scott Foster because he was involved in the betting scandal. Couldn’t name a single NHL or NFL ref if I tried. Angel Hernandez the only MLB ump I can name and that’s because he’s dog shit

The ref fucked him. Anyone that knows how chokes work, can see him holding the choke for a clear 2 seconds past the bell, and not listening to the ref, which is how he was able to put Phumi to sleep. Foul play on Moraes, from the ref, and all involved now understanding what they’re looking at. Had he let go, this wouldn’t even be a discussion. Awful!!
