@ObangMetho@IconicAraari This thread makes me feel uncomfortable. In my mind all of Ethiopians woes began with Abiy! I never call out the TPLF but that’s because they’re nice to me. Maybe if Abiy was nice (🤑) then my memory would be jogged about TPLFs heinous acts in East Africa #analysis
@Robel_Z_Alemu No way he was a nice guy and abiy is a meany. Abiy and his bf Isayas are bringing down Ethiopia, imposing ethnic discrimination which never existed before Abiy. #analysis
@LanderMiddle No, as @martinpIaut and I have said time and time again, this is a war against Tigray! It may be wrong and irresponsible for us to frame it that way, but we must do our part to help garner support for our colleagues that are currently in hiding. #analysis
@martinplaut Yes, let’s keep framing this as Ethiopia vs Tigray instead of Ethiopia vs. TPLF! That may help us garner more support for our colleagues that are currently in hiding
@oladmohamed@awolallo Ethiopian history / politics is so drastically different from these western narratives that these comparisons actually hold zero value, and just serve to further ethnic division, but on the surface level it kind of clicks and we get to sound woke! 🤝
@oladmohamed Yes, I love this observation. Just like @awolallo ‘s point about Abiy trying to MEGA (make Ethiopia great again). And the narrative about Ethiopia as a colonial state (with Amharas being white people)...
@AFPAfrica I find this report to be misleading. It doesnt blame Abiy enough! Sure, it seems like a fact based report from a person on the ground 🙄 but my Twitter sources and TPLF WhatsApp group say otherwise. Trust me
@menkemD The TPLF are nice peaceful people who were forced into a tough situation. Unlike that meany Abiy that started all of this! Get your facts right sir #analysis
