China's first reusable rocket, Zhuque-3, sadly failed its maiden flight.

The first stage failed to recover during the landing, but the actual landing point was very close to the expected location.

The second stage successfully entered the predetermined orbit.

Failure is the mother of success. This is a brand new area for China's space program. Learn from this failure and wish for success next time!

SpaceX, nor any other new space company, could not have emerged in the US without a pool of engineering talent in place. For instance, Tom Mueller, the designer of the Merlin engine, was already highly experienced when he was hired.

We don’t yet have this size pool in the UK. But we do have a project in the UK attempting to build up our expertise.

The UK Space Agency has withdrawn funding from them though, and they are looking for new sponsors.

- Update from the Ariane 6 task force reviewing the inaugural launch is expected late Friday or the following Monday;
- Vega C return to flight still planned mid-Nov to mid-Dec.
