Pilgrimage to Pasadena
I can’t believe it’s a year ago we were at the start of the pilgrimage to Pasadena.
After leaving Manchester we were up at the crack of dawn, early bag drop. The weather in London was shite, but it was time to be #HalfTheWorldAway.
#MorningGlory we’re wide awake, stomachs rumbling it’s time to eat. Off we go to Lucky Baldwins it’s where all us crazy kids meet.
On a high we feel the buzz this night and the people we meet teach us how to #LiveForever.
But that’s the mark of something biblical. Leaves you gutted it’s over but grateful you were there.
Legendary night, forever in the memory.
Thank you Oasis…
@liamgallagher Tell ya what, Pasadena, that was off the charts, proper biblical. Oasis at the Rose Bowl, mate, that weren’t just a gig, that was church with guitars, man.
And now? Post-show blues, man. You come back down and it’s quiet, like someone’s turned the world’s volume down after the loudest, most beautiful noise you’ve ever heard.
Whoever shot this 17 minute video showing a drive through Pacific Palisades one month ago had no idea how historic it would become.
If you’re not from Los Angeles, this might give you a better idea of what we’ve lost. Please keep in mind this is just ONE street. This doesn’t include the entire Pacific Coast Highway, most of Altadena, and an additional 18 miles of Pacific Palisades. 💔💔💔
Si, 5 years today dad came to collect you. I remember our last conversation and promise you as I did then that we’ve surround Jack with love and protection. You’d be so proud of him.
