Due to the fantastic response we had at Saturdays tree planting, this weeks Thursday session is cancelled as we planted all the trees!! Thank you to everyone who turned up and helped us plant over 800 trees!🌳🌳🌳

⚠️Unfortunately, we've had to postpone tomorrow's planting session in Lumb because of the snow. 😒❄️But fear not! We'll be rescheduling for later in the month. In the meantime here's a picture of some of our volunteers from last weeks planting - Wendy, Hazel & Cllr Julie Adshead

#FactFridayDid you know ...? 🤔Fresh snow can provide good insulation, almost like a fluffy down jacket. ❄️❄️It creates pockets of trapped air that hold in heat. When deep enough, snow can prevent soil from freezing and damaging roots. 🌳🌲
