RBC

Ideas happen here. Status-quo climate criminals profiting off climate and colonial violence. Parody account. Not RBC but basically RBC.

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

RBC believes "climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our age." That's why we have been and will continue to be Canada's #1 financer of fossil fuels and expansion projects. #ClimateAction

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Easy mistake to make… we’re actually only accountable to the fossil fuel industry

[Stand.earth @standearth]

Canada’s largest corporation, @RBC, is cutting off speakers, interrupting shareholders, ignoring questions, silencing dissent at its AGM right now. 😒

Abysmal behaviour from Canada’s #1 fossil bank, unaccountable to shareholders, investors, and the public. #RBCAGM #RBCRevealed

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

WE'RE HIRING!

We're looking for a candidate who can "develop and implement effective and lasting responses to climate activism."

Protestors are gaining steam. Help stop them so we can maintain our massive profits off the climate crisis!

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Oh no

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

We're number one! We're number one!🥳🎉

[Stand.earth @standearth]

🚨 RBC is the BIGGEST fossil fuel funder in the world in 2022 🚨

New report from @RAN shows that @RBC has funded over $42.1 BILLION USD in fossil fuels just last year.

RBC claims to be a climate leader, but its fossil fuel financing begs to differ 🧵

#DefundClimateChaos #BOCC

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

RBC wants to be clear: we did NOT separate proxies on the basis of racism.

We only blocked those who *looked like troublemakers* from entering, which is most definitely NOT racism!🚫🙅‍♂️

[Maya Menezes @MayaLillianM]

“We were registered as proxies, we had every right to be there. This is another form of racism. Separating us into another room is another form of segregation. Snipers on the building across from us. Using the same violence they use against us on our territories everyday.”

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Our AGM is today. Who is ready to vote down proposals that demand we take the climate and Indigenous rights seriously?

WE ARE😎

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Our team at RBC will target Canada's largest sources of emissions: ourselves.

[John Stackhouse @StackhouseJohn]

We’re proud to introduce the @RBC Climate Action Institute. Our team of economists, tech experts and policy analysts will target Canada’s largest sources of emissions. We have an opportunity to inform, inspire, and build ideas on the journey to #NetZero https://t.co/IfsmARSoyA

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Not gonna lie, we’re feeling pretty attacked rn 😔

[Change Course @changecourse_ca]

So...@RBC kinda sorta responded to our protests today, via the media...62 words of downright lies 🤥

[Change Course @changecourse_ca]

Your bank, @RBC, pretends to care about 'young people' and the 'future' all while funding total climate destruction and violent Indigenous rights violations.

It's time to stop all that, Dave. Society is turning against #RBC...your brand is tanking📉🤢📉🤢📉

#RBCoffCampus

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

All eyes on us!! #AllEyesOnRBC

[Decolonial Solidarity @decolonialsol]

Canadian Banks like @RBC finance ecological destruction and Indigenous Rights violations. They bankroll projects to mine minerals, transport and extract oil and gas, and dig for coal without #FPIC of Indigenous Peoples.

#AllEyesOnRBC #KillTheDrill

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Oh nooooooo 😭😭 we have been beaten

[Decolonial Solidarity @decolonialsol]

Hey look it’s @RBC’s kryptonite

[quit.RBC @QuitRbc]

Fixed it @RBCGAMChiefEcon @rbcgamnews !

You can count on us to let people know what you're really doing: putting as much money as you can into fuelling the climate crisis 🤢

More than $262,000,000,000 since 2016.

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

We at RBC strongly believe funding people and planet destruction whilst also funding green tech demonstrates true leadership for how businesses can profit off the climate crisis.

[Torrance Coste @TorranceCoste]

Banks like @RBC have a huge financial stake in these talks failing to deliver what’s needed, and yet governments like Canada’s continue to prioritize them above youth, Indigenous people and civil society.

I’ve only been to one COP, and this is the thing that infuriated me most.

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

How can Canada feed a growing population while we at RBC simultaneously raise emissions?

Check out our podcast with a cool name that would suggest we're disrupting the status quo when we ARE THE STATUS QUO🤪😈

[RBC @RBC]

How can Canada feed a growing population while simultaneously slashing emissions? That’s the focus of a special three-part series of the RBC Disruptors podcast on Canadian agriculture, called, “The Growing Challenge” https://t.co/nG0IRXgLOd

[António Guterres @antonioguterres]

My message to the youth of today:

Do not take up careers with the climate wreckers.

I urge you to be the generation that succeeds in addressing the planetary emergency of climate change.

[RBC @RBCPitchbot]

Mr. McKay is deeply saddened by the actions held outside of his award ceremony.

"I'm so tired of being bullied into being a better leader. I mean what do the people want... me to put THEIR right to a liveable world over MY right to jeopardize it all for profit?!"

Dave McKay is officially awarded Climate Villain of the year outside the Ritz Carlton tonight #IveyBizLeader #ClimateVillainoftheYear

[Richard Brooks ☀️ @R_BrooksStand]

Breaking: @CompBureau, Canada's federal law enforcement agency on competition law, has opened an investigation into misleading climate claims by Canada's largest fossil fuel financing bank @RBC.

Have to say, hearing the words @RBC and "greenwashing" on CBC radio today was our Wednesday highpoint... 🥲 #wetsuwetenstrong

Chloe Tse, a young RBC customer, says she feels betrayed by RBCs continued funding of fossil fuels.
