May 9-17th 2015, Portage la Prairie plays host to the Royal Bank Cup national Championship for Junior A hockey.

Update from Shared Health -- for the week ending Jan. 1 - 915 staff in the health-care system tested positive for COVID including 194 nurses and 29 physicians. The remaining numbers include Allied Health, EMS and support staff.
