It was the last performance I helped plan so it was especially pleasing to see 4 current (until this year) @BirmCons @MyBCU students playing small roles, with great skill. Bravi!

An unexpected day - I found myself in front of the Philharmonia with seven minutes notice conducting the Sitz for ’Le nozze di Figaro’ at Garsington. Totally joyous day conducting my No. 1 piece with a world class orchestra and cast. My thirties are ending well!

What a great first night! Magical story, superbly sung, played & staged. Massenet’s score was charming, witty and touching, and his ending is quite the best of any telling of Cinderella.

I’ll be back tomorrow night for the other cast - can’t wait!
