🔴 Turkey and Libya do not share a direct maritime border in the Mediterranean Sea, as they are separated by a significant distance and the maritime zones of Greece, Egypt and Cyprus.

🔴 The Turkey-Libya Maritime Memorandum is infringing upon the sovereign rights of 3rd States, does not comply with the United Nations’ Law of the Sea and cannot produce any legal consequences for 3rd states.
In other words: illegal, invalid, void.❌

🔴 This geographically absurd and illegal memorandum between Libya and Turkey serves as a clear example of Turkey’s destabilizing behaviour in the Eastern Mediterranean, as it undermines international law, disregards the sovereign rights of its neighbours, and poses a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.
