Apparently Laurence is quoted as saying his story is "Columbo Meets the Wickerman" & with mischievous mummers, it certainly is all that! I really enjoyed issue 1 & I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment!

The hours spent traipsing around Brum as a kid to the Readers World shops in search of comics, all led to me writing my own comic strip, Red By Night for #The77. I'm proud to write a fantasy world set in Brum & the Black Country ❤️🖤

It's not the first time Mark has painted Olla & her 'dragon'. He completed this oil painting for me a while back. Writing about an alt-history, fantasy #Birmingham & the #BlackCountry is something that I'd always wanted to do ❤️
