Ryan Bright

At one time was the Philadelphia Union and MLS beat reporter for NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Soccer gods think it's the Open Cup.

[Philly Soccer Page @phillysoccerpg]

The Union are supposed to play Queretaro in a few minutes, but there’s a power outage down at Subaru Park.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@sportsdoctormd @Frisbee_Greg Looks like Jones got the start against Wrexham in a 2-0 loss on Jan 30, 2021, but wasn't in the lineup for the May 22, 2021, 5-3 loss at the Racecourse. Not sure which was on the show.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead @AntSanPhilly Imagine Blake wants to re-sign and would go anywhere, but the Union spent his cap money on Steven Vitoria for 5 years, 5.4 million, and couldn't guarantee Blake could be re-signed, so Blake says DC only and you end up with a Brendan Burke reclamation project.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead @AntSanPhilly You'll change your tune if the Union ever trades Andre Blake for Simon Lefebrvre.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Philly hate watched that final.

[Steven Goff @SoccerInsider]

Top 10 highest-rated local markets on ABC for MLS Cup

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead How did you exclude Sierra Entertainment?

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead @AntSanPhilly @JoyOnBroad He had a very bad shoulder injury, then returned and looked like hot garbo. Doesn't mean he's cooked, he's only 29. But that small sample was scary.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Kleberson-esque

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead IMO, casual Flyers fans like watching tough players. Lindros, Simmonds, Pronger. When fighting and physical play drifted away, so did Flyer fandom. Giroux had one of the sauciest assists of his career last night and no one cares.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Last night wasn't the first time Jim Curtin and the Union caused a high-profile opposing coach to melt down.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Dave Mustaine is kicking off Nashville's match with a guitar solo. @Kevin_Kinkead

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead Isn't Tanner's point that there's only one 'winning' team? I wonder what Getafe-Osasuna afternoon ratings are like.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Remember when they took vans to Chester Park, where errant passes got lost in the woods?

[Kevin Kinkead @Kevin_Kinkead]

The Union just won a Champion's League road game. 😳

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

This link works. The Twitch and Verizon TV channel listed aren't showing it.

[Kevin Kinkead @Kevin_Kinkead]

here's the RB Salzburg link if you wanna watch Brenden Aaronson play:

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Should be able to catch Brenden Aaronson and #Salzburg on Twitch at 12:30 - https://t.co/ZmqrVvJzPw

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

@Kevin_Kinkead Big turnaround for the Union, once employing a coach who spanked younger players with a flip flop at Chester Park.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Jim is the best.

[Matthew De George @sportsdoctormd]

Jim Curtin: "The power rankings are neat"
Says he doesn't believe his team is the third-best in MLS right now. Feels they're between 5 and 18 (depending on injuries)

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

Left-footed, short side .. Santos oozing with confidence on that one.

[Ryan Bright @RBrightUnion]

MLS has come a long way.
