Back from Langtang NP in the Nepal Himalayas - monitoring the presence of our study species: Himalayan langurs, Assamese macaques, pika, Himalayan tahr & snow leopards. We continue to learn more about the tragic loss of our friends in Langtang during the April 2015 earthquake.
Our Nepal field course is winding up. Had a great day providing our participants with hands-on training with a variety of field research equipment - camera traps, blow pipe, radio telemetry, drone. A huge thank you to the FC organizers & partners – NEC, @Wa_NPRC, UW-CGFS, TU, KU.
Finishing up the 1st day of our annual Field Course with a wonderful group of 25 participants from 11 institutions around Nepal. Special thank you to my colleague and field course organizer, Dr. Narayan Koju and the Nepal Engineering College for hosting the program. @Wa_NPRC

Just finished another outreach education program – “Talk About Primates” (with related topics of zoonosis and translational science). Thank you to the wonderful children and staff from the Mercy Ministries Foundation in Chiang Rai, and the Bird Watching Club Chiang Rai. @Wa_NPRC

Just about to wrap up phase 2 of our distribution survey of macaques in Sumatra - focusing on the northern half of the island. It has been a pleasure to assist my long-time colleague Dr. Entang Iskandar (Project Leader) with this collaborative effort @PSSP_IPB & @Wa_NPRC.
Halfway through our 3-wk distribution survey of macaques in Sumatra - led by Dr. Entang Iskandar (@PSSP_IPB). Came across two large groups of Mf & Mn along the road in Aceh province. Observed interspecific grooming and close proximity btw members of both species (Photo). @Wa_NPRC
