So, the government announce a 3% ‘pay rise’ for NHS workers.
• Inflation is 2.4%, so that’s really just 0.6%
• Combined with March’s stealth tax (PTA) & return of NHS Car parking charges, this still represents a cut in take home pay for NHS Workers
Give NHS workers +15% now!
The next meeting of the @RCNManCentral branch is taking place on Wednesday 14 July at 5pm, via Microsoft Teams. Make sure you register to attend, local members, and have your say on the issues that matter to you. https://t.co/2Qg5Y0taEd
Manchester's event on pay justice, safe staffing, and against privatisation will be socially distanced / no march involved to maintain safety! Please spread the word even if you can't come 🙂 https://t.co/ndxtzjPToQ
NHS workers were due our pay award in April, NOTHING.
We were told it had been delayed and we would know by mid-late June but STILL NOTHING.
WHY? As we continue to give our all, and continue to plug the gap caused by 100,000 vacancies we are repeatedly ignored! #NHSPay15
Save the date for our Nurses Mental Wellbeing webinar on 16 June. Hosted by @annemarieraffer, this webinar will provide information about the #NHSCHECK survey and its key findings. Find out more 👇 https://t.co/T5TJ2vP1Yg

@NurseSayNO@StuartNurse62@PoliticalNurse@theRCN Indeed we were - our branch secretary @caffeinurse ensured that members were aware there would be an RCN presence, arranged t-shirts, and organised meeting point. Also spoke at the demo about NHSP expecting Contact Tracers to complete mandatory training without payment.
PUBLIC STATEMENT (CONT.)
We apologise for the lateness of lending our support: we needed to discuss the changes published today before making a statement, but are happy that we have consensus to support this particular demonstration.

We have unanimously agreed to support the demonstration in Manchester tomorrow, organised by @NurseSayNO. We feel it is an excellent and creative means of making our voices heard in a socially distant and safe way.
