I voted for Donald Trump and am not embarrassed to say so, but the Matt Gaetz pick for Attorney General is the wrong pick. I won't comment on the accusations against him because I don't comment on allegations without due process. But I find Gaetz unqualified, having barely practiced law. The appointment is counterintuitive to the President-elect's own (very justified) goals of reforming the DOJ. Choosing a figure like Gaetz is a distraction from installing a more effective and savvier AG who could enact the President-elect's agenda without the baggage of Gaetz.
