This week, Democrats chose their new standard-bearer — a 34-year-old radical MARXIST from New York City.
That ideology is the oldest SCAM in the book: promise EVERYTHING to EVERYONE for FREE — and hope voters don’t realize the dangerous failure that is coming.
Everywhere it’s been tried, it has always ended the same way — with chaos, poverty, death and the destruction of freedom itself. That’s not “progress.” That’s the road to ruin.
When Socialists like #ZohranMamdani and #BernieSanders criticize capitalism they intentionally leave out the most important part of the story---that capitalism has been the greatest wealth generator in the history of the world and that capitalism is the reason the average American today has a much higher quality of life than a King from the 19th Century. It's because capitalism creates a rising tide that lifts our entire society. It's also important to remember that Socialists seek to replace capitalism--a system known for its excesses--with a system, Socialism, known for its scarcities. Scarcity is the enemy of affordability.
The biggest losers from Tuesday night's election will be economically disadvantaged voters who will pay the price and bear the pain that always occurs from Socialism. I write about this concept in more detail--what happens when the utopian promises of Socialism turn into the dystopian reality of Socialism--in the Democrats' Secret on Amazon.
Buck there is a term I used in my book called "Pelosian Bargain" which is a modern day twist on a Faustian Bargain. In a Pelosian bargain economically disadvantaged voters pay the cost while Democrat politicians gain all the benefits, unlike a Faustian bargain where the person making the bargain has to pay the price. If interested, I can post the section that further describes this one-sided dynamic that has been wonderful for Democrat pols like Pelosi but devastating for so many voters who trusted her to improve their lives.
Many have been duped/propagandized by the Left to hate Republicans on such a visceral level that Democrat outcomes become largely irrelevant. Democrat politicians figured out policy results don't matter if you can make your opponent morally unacceptable. That's why Democrats are so vicious in their attacks on Republicans. They know the only reason so many of their voters continue to support a party that has failed to produce positive results is because they have been conditioned to hate the GOP. @TomiLahren I explain this dynamic (and more) in my book.
The number one rule under the Biden Administration, zero flexibility, was that Democrat Donors with $$ could not and would not be negatively impacted by illegal immigration. Progressive privilege--having enough money to avoid being impacted by the progressive policies you support--is the MVP of the Democrat Party
Thank you for sharing this article, I agree 100% with Sanders that income inequality is damaging to Democracy, where I strongly disagree is with his remedy of Socialism, mostly because it is a system that has proven not to work. My belief is the best way to reduce inequality in the long run is to empower individuals and equip them with the tools and confidence they need to be successful. We are definitely facing an interesting future for sure but I'm optimistic that if we can have full and open debates and discussions we can make improvements. And the info you shared is a great example of info that needs to be fully discussed and debated by all sides.
Ezra Klein writes a long piece about how Democrats can beat Republicans. But the prescription that is missing, as always, is the remedy the Left refuses to discuss: Get better policies that produce better results for voters so Democrats can then run for office based on those results.
That's the part of Democrat strategy that always seems to be missing: The need to replace policies that have failed with policies that work. Unfortunately, this is a discussion the Democratic Party refuses to have and thus they will continue to descend into eventual irrelevance. @ezraklein

There is hope, however, that Republicans and Democrats must capitalize upon: Nobody knows the failures of socialism better than the people most directly impacted by it. These are the people the GOP must target and give them hope a better future is possible if they reject the policies that create so many malign outcomes.
the sad thing is that Mamdani's policies will drive away the voters who would hold him accountable, thus likely cementing far-left control of #NYC. It's a toxic truth about far-left politicians--they benefit politically when they drive productive citizens away. It's bad for those left behind but great for the politicians in charge as it increases their chances for re-election.
As I wrote in my book, such a takeover would have never been possible within a Democratic party that produced positive results for its voters. Socialists are exploiting the Democrat party's failures to gain control of the party and Democrats have been helpless to stop them. It began with Sanders and continues with Mamdani.
IF Democrat policies had worked to tangibly improve the lives of their economically disadvantaged voters, they would have been able to say to Socialists, "pound sand and take a hike. We don't need your failed policies of socialism because our policies are producing great results for our voters. Just look at what we have accomplished." Alas, this defense, which would have prevented the Radical Left from hijacking the party was unable to be deployed because Democrats (sadly) can't point to successful outcomes or constructive conditions in the areas they control.
Unfortunately for the radical left (and fortunately for America) they may be able to take over the Democratic Party but their malign results will prevent them from taking over American government. Especially now that illegal immigration--their master plan to gain electoral dominance--has been stopped.
The future is obvious: The institution and reinforcement of progressive policies that have created such bad results (visit any US city led by progressives) will only compound the problems and make things worse. That's the fatal flaw with progressivism and why common sense Americans can remain optimistic: the more progressivism expands, the more obvious its negative results become to people directly impacted.

Mamdani's socialist allies embrace watchdog's warning about their key motive: 'Recruitment ad unlocked' https://t.co/sfAep317Fc #FoxNews
An increasing number of American pyschiatrists are reporting a sharp increase in #FOMO symptoms from #nevertrump patients suffering from #TDS. Imagine being a lifeline Republican and missing out on #Trumpadministration wins that you once dreamt of because you have TDS?
The story of the Trump Presidency will be how much MAGA policies (especially on crime, illegal immigration, school choice and trade) benefited Democrat voters and American workers. Gavin Newsom would never tolerate results for his family that he tolerates (and engineers) for economically vulnerable Democrat voters.
@TheGrayRider I have to agree with @jonesjay on one point: the contrast could not be clearer. Not sure we have ever had a politician stay on the ballot after wishing death on his opponents and kids. If he wins, we must acknowledge he has shattered the previous floor of minimal decency
@lsferguson Part 2: The Bet Democrats made is they could (as they have done with too many of their voters) trap millions of these new illegal immigrants into multi-generational government dependency cycles that would mean multiple generations of support for Democrats
This dynamic is why Democrat politicians opened the border. They understand--based upon their results--they cannot win elections based upon what they have done for their voters and by pointing to accomplishments but they Can win by increasing government dependency and what better way to increase the government dependent population that by adding millions of people who enter the United States already dependent on the government (part 1)
