On the evening of October 3, under the radiant glow of the full moon, we gathered for a Mooncake Festival. This time-honored tradition not only brings us together for fellowship but also carries deep cultural significance.
September 30: Our club, led by our president Vernon Cabading, made a resounding mark with great numbers in attendance at the Rotary International District 3790's Public Image Seminar, held on September 30 at the Newtown Plaza Convention Center in Baguio City.
Sep 29: Hearts came together to launch a beacon of hope and support for young warriors battling childhood cancer. In partnership with the Medical Social Work Department of ITRMC, PNP, and IWCSFLU, we conducted the Launching of Support Group for Childhood Cancer Patients of ITRMC
On September 28, as part of the celebration of Medicine Week, we joined hands with the La Union Medical Society to conduct a Smoke Cessation Seminar at Naguilian National High School.
September 14: We continued our journey of empowerment and enlightenment with the 2nd Masakbayan: Career Guidance Program, held at the La Union Cultural Institute. This was a mission to inspire and guide the eager grade 10-12 students towards their potential future careers.
September 11: In partnership with ITRMC, we embarked on a significant initiative that echoes far beyond a single day. Our collaborative effort led to the launch of an Epilepsy Club and the hosting of Epilepsy Lay Fora.
September 9: In a powerful testament to our commitment to community well-being, we joined hands with the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Pagdalagan, SFCLU, for a medical and dental mission. Together with several partners, the activity was a resounding success.
September 7: In our ongoing mission to spread compassion and make a difference, our club proudly conducted the 2nd Pilid Ti Ayat wheelchair donation event for this Rotary year at Barangay Tanqui where we have given 2 wheelchairs to deserving individuals.
September 6: Our club's officers and members gathered for a meaningful Courtesy Visit with the esteemed Mayor of San Fernando City, Hermenegildo "Dong" Gualberto, at the City Hall and has been featured in the City's official facebook page.
August 31: We ignited a spark of ambition with 'Masakbayan: Career Guidance Program' held at the Union Christian College on August 31. The theme 'Mangarap ka ng Dream Big!' encapsulated the spirit of the day as we embarked on a mission to inspire and guide young minds.
August 29: We had the privilege of being part of the Pacific Partnership 2023 Host Nation Outreach Events at the City Jail of SFCLU where we gave hygiene kits to the over 70 Persons Deprived of Liberty as well as conducted prayer service and acoustic concert.
August 28: In celebration of the National History Month and National Heroes Day, we have conducted a unique activity entitled "Dagiti Bannuarmi: A Storytelling Series" where we highlight our very own local heroes of history.
August 25: In partnership with the PGLU, we have celebrated the Linggo ng Kabataan and Buwan ng Wika by conducting the Kurditan Kabataan Script Writing Workshop for the various students and teachers of La Union.
Last August 19, our club embarked on a journey of discovery and development at the Membership Development Seminar for Areas 1 & 2, graciously hosted by the Rotary Club of Laoag Metro in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
Throughout the entire month of August, we proudly joined hands with the community and educators in support of the 'Bayanihan para sa matatag na paaralan' theme of Brigada Eskwela 2023.
August 9: With compassion and solidarity, we have conducted our program entitled "Pilid ti Ayat" (Wheels of Love). In coordination with the PNP of SFCLU's "Gulong ng Suerte", we had the honor of providing wheelchairs to 2 deserving individuals in Brgy. Nagyubuyuban, SFCLU.
August 5: We have conducted our BUSEL: Planting Seeds of Hope at Brgy. Abut where we have planted over 100 tree seedlings and 100 fruit-bearing tree seedlings. We have also donated vegetable seeds for our Pakbet Sa Bakuran and donated books to their daycare.
Throughout the entire month of August 2023, we have partnered with IWCSFLU and UAP LU for the ADAL Reading Program at Canaoay Elementary School where we have taught the young learners on reading.
Last July 29, 2023, our club had the privilege of attending the highly informative Grant Management Seminar of District 3790, held at the luxurious Royce Hotel and Casino in Clark Freeport Zone.
July 26-27: We ventured into the heart of the typhoon Egay's aftermath, conducting multiple relief operations in hardest-hit areas of La Union, including the municipalities of Luna and Bangar, as well as the coastal barangays of San Fernando – San Agustin, Poro, and Carlatan.
