Official account for the former WW2 airfield, home of the USAAF 94th Bomb Group, near Bury St Edmunds. Museum is open every Sunday from Easter to October.
RAF Day will be back at the museum on Sunday 26th July, celebrating the history of the RAF in East Anglia and aviation in general across the region. We have over 20 museums and organisations confirmed to attend so far along with a glider and replica Spitfire on static display!
Four more pieces of noseart on jackets and panels that we will be selling to raise money for @RCTAM94th .
So important we don't lose these Bomb Group museums where so many brave young men flew out and the incredible acts of bravery.

A big update for our RAF Day on Sunday 27th July and hopefully 2nd time lucky. We will have the BBMF Lancaster performing a flypast over the museum! Subject to weather and serviceability. Official timings TBC but we're pencilled in for 4.43pm.
Free entry with donations welcome!
@GavinGc5 Sadly the strong winds meant it was cancelled. We haven't had much luck this year! We have one more request pending for a flypast in September so hopefully we're successful with that one 🙏
We were due to have the BBMF Dakota flypast at our RAF Day but sadly due to its delayed maintenance at Duxford, it has been withdrawn. All other BBMF assets have already been allocated to other events, so they are unable to provide additional flypast support on the day.
Another date for the diary. On Sunday 27th July, we're hosting an RAF Day to celebrate the services history across East Anglia. The event, as always, is free admission with donations welcome and we’re dog friendly.
We have had confirmation from the Lancaster navigator that the flypast is still down for 1.50pm on Sunday, subject to weather and serviceability. All welcome!
We have a brand new event at Rougham on Sunday 27th July-RAF Day! It's our celebration of over 100 years of RAF history in East Anglia. We'll also be seeing in the air a flypast from the BBMF Dakota. Free entry with donations welcome. More to be announced in the next few days!
A USAF C-130H sat at RAF Mildenhall this morning. Was hoping to catch it flying but today wasn't meant to be.

A C-130 Hercules from the 94th Airlift Wing, Dobbins ARB, Georgia, arrived at RAF Mildenhall yesterday with special 'Square A' markings of our 94th Bomb Group. We will also be welcoming the crew at the museum soon for a tour around the museum.

It was a pleasure to host the Bardwell Tractor Run for their half way stop today. We had over 100 tractors on site and over 850 visitors! The run was in aid of Suffolk Mind and EACH childrens hospice. All money raised will be split equally between the two charities.
