Rhondda Cynon Taff TUC brings together local trade union branches to campaign around issues affecting working people in their workplace and local communities.
Powerful and inspiring speech by Mick Lynch of @RMTunion at the annual S.O. Davies lecture in Merthyr Tydfil.
I fully agree that we must work together, building alliances in our communities to grow a movement for transformative change.

An important event for the future of Wales - dyfodol Cymru.
Please come and listen and have your say.
Working together we can make a positive difference for the many, not the few.

Come to our Port Talbot #SupportUKSteel day on 1st September.
Bring your kids, family and friends for a free meal, live music, stalls and free activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, crafts and games.
Tata #Steel workers will have an opportunity to discuss the campaign next steps with Unite Reps and Officers, and to find out more about the Welsh Learning Fund.
Everyone is welcome - let’s show we're united in defending jobs and our communities!
It's voting day today! You have until 10pm.
Though after people being turned away last General Election because of queues, make sure you leave plenty of time.
And don't forget your ID!
It's time to get the Tories out!
We learned more about this historic dispute from a @tatasteeluk shop steward at our branch meeting last week. We've contributed to their strike fund and encourage all trade unionists to show #solidarity
Today is the deadline for registering to vote for the upcoming general election!
It's quick and easy to do online using this form.
Make sure your voice is heard.
Every vote counts.

Our South Wales Valleys have a strong tradition of standing against injustice, oppression & racism.
I'm horrified to see Reform launch its 'manifesto' in Merthyr Tydfil.
We must unite & express our outrage, spreading our message of hope, equality, tolerance, peace & justice.
We are a big supporter of @BethWinterCynon and everything she has done for Cynon Valley, and the UK as a whole. She has written an article about the @labour manifesto, and we think this is an important read.
We need a party that supports the working class.

The Labour Party manifesto lacks the ambition needed to deliver for Cymru.
It fails to offer the redistribution of wealth and power owed to us.
It's time for progressives to unite to win a fairer, greener, socialist future.

"@Tatasteeluk workers are taking this industrial action because they know the company’s claim that #jobs cannot be retained in South #Wales during the transition to green #steel is a lie"

Our second motion at #TUCCymru50 was to fight for parents experiencing baby loss before 24 weeks gestation to have a right to compassionate leave.
We are hugely relieved that it passed, too. Thank you to @thecsp for seconding this important motion.
