You will find in practice that people will be asked their biological sex, there may even be a test case. But, to ensure women's right to single biological spaces (already confirmed in High court), the courts will ensure the law allows for biological sex validation. Any attempts to circumvent reality are pointless.
The provision of some neutral spaces must be the direction of travel to avoid exclusion of any persons.
@Heccles94 Price of a burger (33p), white roll (12p) (based on Coop prices). Add some salad and some oven chips and you can have a home cooked burger chips and salad for under £1.
@jundevahn@reformexposed I agree, but it should be the parents choice is all I am saying. With good parenting, kids live and let live without any bigotry.
Wrong I am in favour of gay rights, indeed i believe it is some of the most important legislation in recent years.
But, and this is the bit you won't like, I also am a big advocate for women's right to single sex spaces and for children to be allowed to grow up to young adults before being educated in sexual orientation - whichever their choice.
All rights need to be balanced against that which is appropriate for all levels of society. Promotion of orientation (gay, straight, abstinence, whatever) is not appropriate in spaces designed for the use of children. This is where good parenting should kick in and be based on the child.
@jundevahn@reformexposed Pride may not be a single political movement, but it is political by nature. Let's not forget it was started as a protest against criminalisation - which in itself was political.
@AndrewHWestern How can you make such a comment when people have been arrested? How will they receive fair access to the justice system if MPs have publicly passed judgement before any cases come to court?
I am advocating not advertising any political, cause or march of any kind, not just Pride or anything specific.
This is not homophobic, it is purely an attempt to return libraries to their core function: a place for reading, learning and a resource for people (borrowing books).
I you believe that is homophobic, the problem is closer to home.
@RitaPanahi@Heccles94@BladeoftheS@narindertweets remember these riots in the UK and the criminal damage due to a death whilst an arrest was being made (not in the UK)?
Let's try to keep things balanced.
@narindertweets Probably one of the most decisive people online asking for someone to be arrested for decisiveness? The hypocrisy is stunning and just creates more anger.
@micheal_olainn The people you accuse of hate are exhibiting the opposite. Love, love for their sisters, their wives and their daughters. Also respect for women's rights, the law, science and common sense.
@DianeCarolRoy1@Heccles94 And still you advocate for biological rights to be downgraded based on the wants of others. Thankfully the law has common sense and balance at it's root and is not reliant on want and emotion.
By law they are not entitled to enter designated women only spaces. They have been confirmed by the High Court and others as biologically Male (XY).
Women, those born so (XX) rights are protected and must have those rights respected.
The law ensures Trans people access to amenities, just not at the cost of others rights.
