Major News in the Progression of Graphene Batteries: Using graphene to improve the performance of energy storage devices has been a key focus ever since the 2D material was isolated. As soon as the first commercial graphene manufacturers were… https://t.co/V5BonITJZR
Sustainable Polymer Industry Reacts to Increased Market Drivers: A key requirement for every company in the polymer value chain is to develop and deliver a sustainability roadmap. The market drivers are becoming more significant, and industry activity is… https://t.co/BRYTBtyRUX
Is Graphene Green?: Is Graphene Green? This question comes up an increasing amount. Green drivers and ESG investments are an obvious focus across the supply chain, but where does graphene fit into this discussion? IDTechEx explore the answer in this… https://t.co/fxNhbVtQe5
@tsungxu@pogechi There are numerous the graphene industry push. In our webinar we discuss composites, textiles, energy storage, thermal management materials, concrete, paints/coatings, membranes, and electronic applications. Each has its own story.
@tsungxu@pogechi For graphene nanoplatelets (nearly always used as an additive) we expect to see market consolidation in the future (already happening? See article below). Look at carbon black as a mature equivalent industry in both number of companies and sales margin.
@tsungxu@pogechi There are graphene success stories and will be more, but many challenges and a broader more realistic conversation often needed. I’ll post a few articles below that you may enjoy. 5/5
First Sign of Consolidation Seen Among Graphene Manufacturers: The past decade has seen an ever-increasing number of companies within the graphene market, with a seemingly constant stream of new material suppliers appearing. As is the case for any… https://t.co/Zi50f9UcZp
IDTechEx Assess the Next Commercial Phase of the Graphene Market: To date, the commercialization of graphene has been more of a "material push" rather than a "market pull"; a solution looking for a problem. In this first phase, there were numerous… https://t.co/7veJCfZzTt
Still Waiting on a Commercial Need for Take-off: SWCNTs: Commercializing a new material is not easy. Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are the higher-performance variants of the carbon nanotube family, but unlike their multi-walled counterpart,… https://t.co/3rHAM9Qhe7
