My last day in journalism was Wednesday. I’m headed back home to STL, finally, this weekend as I embark on a new career path. There’s a lot of good going on in the Quad-Cities. Putting down the notepad after more than 7 years in newspapers.
This is obviously a joke, but I honestly think these video games have warped fans' view of the sport and their team. If you can win 7 straight national titles with South Alabama on NCAA 2013, why can't it happen in real life?
NCAA continues to address the important stuff.
A few years ago I attended an early morning summer workout at which the team used a balled up towel because they weren’t allowed to use a football. So many stupid rules while they can’t even enforce the major ones.
Sources: St. Louis City SC has hired Bradley Carnell as their first head coach.
A South African who had a long playing career in Germany, Carnell had been an assistant with the New York Red Bulls since 2017. Served as NY’s interim head coach in 2020. STL announcing this morning.
Asked about Connor Bazelak, Eli Drinkwitz says he doesn't know exactly the injury. Says he thinks it's a soft tissue injury. Says the decision to turn to Tyler Macon was "situational."
And just like that, #Mizzou is going to take the lead into the locker room. 45- yard Hail Mary from Bazelak to Keke Chism and what in the world was the Vanderbilt defense doing?
I love sports because you never know when you’re going to see something you’ve never seen before. We just legitimately saw a false start called because “every player on the offense was not set.”
Can’t make this up.
Nah, you don’t get to blame this one on talent. Missouri is lacking in talent, yes. They’re playing the worst team in the SEC without the starting QB or top two running backs. Lose this one and it goes WAY beyond talent
#Mizzou trails Vandy 14-10. The Commodores have 177 yards rushing with 8:42 left in the second quarter. If you’re not hitting the panic button yet, you should probably at least have it within reach.
