You made a false claim about Jerusalem and are now trying to camouflage this with a false claim about Israel.
So let's go back to your initial claim and focus on Jerusalem.
How many Christians lived in Israeli-ruled West Jerusalem in 1966? Virtually none, because its entire Christian population was expelled by Israel in 1948.
How many Christians lived in Jordanian-ruled East Jerusalem in 1966? Approximately 12,000. Perhaps a few thousand more or less, comprising some 20 per cent of the population.
And how many Christians live in East Jerusalem today, more than half a century after Israel's illegal annexation of the city? Roughly the same number as in 1967, forming a much smaller proportion of the population, and this number may include Christian settlers from the former Soviet Union who entered after 1990 pursuant to Israel's Law of Return. (Christian spouses and children of Jews are eligible pursuant to this legislation).
In other words, this community is neither "thriving" nor "growing".
You can screech "Muslims" all you want, but this all happened under exclusive Israeli rule, and is the direct result of Israeli policy and nothing else.
