3. Attorney General—Vote against the AG that signed a 20-year agreement to send our voting and DMV data to Federal DHS.

In July, we documented how DHS restored bulk and Social Security number SAVE searches through a special channel for Iowa and three other states after a federal judge struck down the modified system nationwide.

Today, the Supreme Court stayed that judge’s order while the appeal proceeds. It did not reverse the judgment or establish that Iowa has used SAVE results to remove voters. But the legal barrier that forced DHS to build a four-state exception has now been put on hold, with the midterms approaching.

The question we’ve kept asking is more urgent than ever: What has Iowa submitted, what results came back, and what happened to the people flagged?

Gov. Reynolds, 12.88% is a good year. But IPERS beat its own 12.56% benchmark by just 0.32 points and trailed the 14.18% median for comparable large public pension plans. We wrote about “Starlink diplomacy” in May 2025: the concern that U.S. diplomatic power could help expand a privately controlled satellite network abroad.

More than a year later, Canada is openly discussing the other side of that equation—what happens when a country becomes dependent on that network. Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada is looking to diversify away from Starlink because control of critical connectivity is a matter of sovereignty.
