Two wallets, one split, and what it says about the $TREAD distribution.
This is all speculation and nothing is confirmed by the @tread_fi team.
Digging through the Ethereum side of the TREAD deployment, the allocation structure is already fully visible on-chain — minted, split, and distributed.
The top-level split: 41.8% / 58.2%
The token contract was deployed on July 14 and emitted both allocation figures at initialization, hardcoded before a single token existed:
>> 41,800,000 $TREAD >> 58,200,000 $TREAD
Two days later, on July 16, those exact amounts were minted into two separate Safe multisigs. Both are 3-of-5. Their signer sets have zero overlap — completely different keys on each side.
The @treadfoundation has stated that more than 50% goes to the community. That makes it safe to assume the 58.2% side is the community allocation, and the 41.8% side belongs to Tread Labs.
>> Community side: 35.5% / 15.2% / 7.5%
On July 20, in a single transaction, the 58.2% wallet split itself three ways:
>> 35,500,000 → 35.5% >> 15,200,000 → 15.2% >> 7,499,990 retained → ~7.5%
All three buckets are unlabeled. My read is that the 15.2% covers S0 + S1 + S1.5 combined.
There's an outside case where 15% is S1 alone with 7.5% covering S0 and S1.5 — that would be a genuine surprise, but I don't think it's happening.
Worth noting: both recipient wallets are Safes controlled by the same five keys as the wallet that funded them. The three-way split moves tokens between addresses without splitting control.
Neither bucket has moved since July 20, and no claim or distributor contract has been approved by either. When one of them funds the Genesis Distribution contract, that identifies the airdrop bucket and the real size — until then it's inference.
Labs side: 18% out, 23.8% retained
On July 30, in one block, the 41.8% wallet sent 18,000,000 TREAD — 18% of supply — to 40 separate wallets. Individual amounts ranged from 100,000 to 600,000, with most at 500,000.
37 of the 40 are 3-of-5 Safes, all sharing the identical five signers
3 are plain single-key wallets All five signers are the same keys that control the Labs wallet itself.
That shape reads as a team and contributor allocation.
>> 18% for team is low. Hyperliquid allocated >> 23.8% to core contributors. The remaining 23.8% sitting in the Labs wallet looks like it's earmarked for development rather than individuals.
The price on spot deployment on hypercore screen isn't a price.
The spot pair exists and the order book is open, but nothing has traded. Zero volume, no midpoint, no prior day close.
Entire book: 6,666 TREAD bid at $0.03 and 40,269 bid at $0.025
No asks at all
Displayed mark has drifted from $1.00 to $0.265 over six days with no trades behind it
That looks like testing and some early liquidity being placed. Nothing serious is happening there yet, and any FDV calculated off that number is multiplying a placeholder by 100 million.
Where it stands.
>> Supply is minted and allocated. The bridge has been tested — single-token round trips through LayerZero between Ethereum and HyperEVM on September 6 and 8, bracketing the HyperCore deploy steps almost to the minute. But nothing has actually bridged: zero locked in the adapter, zero supply on HyperEVM, the full 100M still parked on the Core side.
Everything is built. The distribution is the only thing left.
Introducing TREAD Improvement Proposals (TIPs).
TIPs will be how https://t.co/O9psm32dlS provides utility for holders of the TREAD token. Going forward, Tread Labs will author and publish TIPs.
TIP-1: Fee discounts. Hold TREAD in your Tread UOA wallet, pay less to trade. With fee tiers, the discount can be up to 80% of the fees.
TIP-2: Tread Vault. All incentives/airdrops that https://t.co/O9psm32dlS may receive from exchanges will be distributed to users based on their share of TIP-1 fee savings on that exchange.
Stay tuned for more TIP releases in the near future. Details on TIP-1 and TIP-2 to follow shortly after TGE.
Nothing in this announcement creates an entitlement, a claim on any entity's assets, or any representation about the price of TREAD.
