Today is a great day for South Carolina students and teachers!
Our new Grade Floor law is an important tool to promote high expectations, accountability, and excellence in our schools.
This law helps ensure grades reflect real learning, real effort, and real achievement, better preparing students for success in school and life.
Our students rise to high expectations when we believe they can and support them on their journey!
Thank you to Governor @henrymcmaster, members of the General Assembly, educators, and parents for helping raise the bar for education in South Carolina.
The @SCSenate is ignoring the will of the people and sidelining parents by refusing to take up H.4757: the Parents’ Bill of Rights that passed the House almost unanimously.
That’s not leadership. That’s choosing to ignore the SC way of life.
When parental rights are weakened, families pay the price.
Call it what it is: anti-family.

Leadership on school choice matters.
Congressman @RepRalphNorman, candidate for Governor of SC, joined us in Columbia to enthusiastically sign our Universal School Choice Pledge. We’re grateful for his strong & consistent support of educational freedom for SC families.
BREAKING: South Carolina Senate leadership is reportedly threatening to put an arbitrary cap on their school choice program unless families who customize their education are kicked out.
They identify as Republicans.
What's going on here, @scsenategop?
Lawmakers are misinterpreting the very law they approved just last year that creates more learning opportunities, and now the state is on the brink of becoming one of the least family-friendly locales in the southeast. Read on: https://t.co/u4H6kHgfJe 2/2
