New publication from the REACH Lab! This is the first study on the proximal associations between cyber and in-person intimate partner violence across 60 consecutive days among college students.
‼️New pub! Cyber intimate partner violence associates with greater odds of same- & next-day in-person IPV. Unlike the pre-smartphone era, smartphones mean that abuse may be virtually inescapable for some, with IPV occurring both online & in-person in a single day. Link below!
What exactly is the relationship between alcohol use/misuse and intimate partner violence?
Meagan Brem of @VT_Science shared what we know, what she's trying to better understand, and some possible interventions during this week's 'Curious Conversations' https://t.co/1PVViuFfuP
🎉 Our NIH @NIAAAnews R21 was awarded! This study will help uncover daily processes (eg, discrimination, partner support) that potentiate and mitigate alcohol-related IPV among bisexual+ individuals and their partners, with the ultimate goal of informing inclusive interventions.
Semester kick off with the @REACHLabVT! This group has been crushing it all summer long in preparation for our fall study launch 💪 Here’s to another great year! @VT_Psychology
