@BlueBeetleTK “Well, I was in Japan for a business opportunity, but residuals might take a while to reach me. That’s okay, they’ll come.” Mike leaned against the bar. “You know, in Japan the people gargle.”
Mike walked into his local deli, a copy of the @MetropolisEagle under his arm.
"Let me get a regular coffee and a BEC, SPK on a roll?" He nodded and sat at the counter.

The sunlight was already cutting hard through the blinds of Michael Jon Carter’s one-room apartment. He blinked against it, groaning, dragging an arm across his face. His body ached in all the usual places.

The room was still, save for the low hum of the fridge and the creak of pipes in the wall. Then came another sound, a faint whirr like a fan spinning up.
- And him, Booster Gold, a little off to the side, grinning too wide, trying too hard. He picked it up, gave it a tap until the image steadied, and stared at it in silence.
Michael let the holo dim and leaned back, eyes closed.
