I've been counting down the last four Resident Evil releases, but this one is something special: RESIDENT EVIL CODE: VERONICA REMAKE IS FINALLY HAPPENING!
#REBHFun
Let's just hope it makes another appearance in December at The Game Awards, but I'm not sure they'll announce a release date if it's ultimately pushed back to the fall.
(November is obviously out of the question for any news because of GTA VI)
By the way, I've been reading some of the replies, and honestly, I'd rather have them take their time and go this long without showing us anything than release a game they're not fully happy with.
My tweet is simply sharing a fact, but... (next tweet)
Resident Evil Veronica Remake is now the RE Engine-era game that has gone the longest without a second official trailer, at 141 days.
The previous record was held by Resident Evil 4 Remake, which went 140 days before getting its second trailer.

With Capcom, a Cyberpunk situation would never happen. I'd love to have it soon, just like everyone else, but if a few more months of development make the game better, then so be it.
@RECVRcountdown I honestly don’t mind, yes it’s annoying but I’d rather them take their time you know? Don’t want a oh cyberpunk situation do we now?🤷♂️🙈🙈🤷♂️
(1/2) Oh boy, well I've heard it three times from three different people now, so I guess I have potentially bad news to report on Resident Evil Veronica.
There is a high chance it might've slipped into a Fall 2027 release. I trust the people I've heard this from, I haven't heard
They did it this way because they expected to be able to release it in Q1 2027, and this delay to fall confirms it.
They must have run into problems after revealing the game; otherwise, they wouldn't have revealed it.
@Citokinesis_@Dark_Chris_1989 If you don't want to believe me, don't. The fact that there's a period of crunch doesn't mean they couldn't have shown something to the press. I know firsthand that they saw something. Last year with Requiem I was already finding out about embargoes a week before they were lifted
As expected, nothing about Veronica. The thing is, we have no sign of a Resident Evil Showcase either. I'd find it hard to believe they'd go 6 months without showing anything, that has never happened in the RE Engine era. And as I said, the press saw the game at Gamescom.
Capcom Spotlight in 30 minutes. Resident Evil Veronica isn't scheduled to appear, so don't expect anything major. In the best case, they could mention that there will be a Resident Evil Showcase in October, but I have doubts about it.

@RahRahB1tch The person who has never failed me told me this. I only post things that I know are 100% real, otherwise, I'd be talking about gameplay "leaks" and more interesting stuff that would attract more views.
@Dark_Chris_1989 Great, I'll stop trusting the source that has never failed me and trust you instead. I have no reason to lie, if I wanted to lie, I'd make up the content they've seen, since that would attract more views.
As Dusk says, Capcom is going through a crunch period to get a Q1 release. It's the first RE without a release date since RE8, which had issues due to COVID. It was originally supposed to launch in Q1 2021 but ended up releasing in May, with its release date announced in January.
Veronica as I've said is in a busy crunch period right now, so to me that's mainly just a reflection of that. But we'll get new news when they're ready to have new news.
By the way, there was definitely Resident Evil Veronica content shown to the press behind closed doors at Gamescom. I would assume there's an embargo scheduled to be lifted at some point, but I don't know about it, I only know they saw the game.

Remember that all of these comments are my opinion, not information. As of now, I have no knowledge of anyone having played Veronica behind closed doors.
We'll have a PlayStation State of Play this Thursday at a somewhat unusual time, which is the first realistic opportunity IMO for Resident Evil Veronica to show up
Although I think it's more likely to happen with Nintendo, alongside the announcement of 2R, 3R, and 4R for NSW2
